Heya, loved the newsletter, haven't been in the forums in forever (school is so busy!), so this was a most pleasant surprise!
I tryed finding a place in the forums to post, but there wasn't one, so I made this thread. I did not email because theere are several issues with the emails listed. This is mainly to discuss technical issues, feel free to move it to a more appropriate forum if you like (mods). If you want to just converse about the newsletter, I suggestion you start another thread.
Bugs
- The contact email address in the newsletter read `AMV News@gmail.com' which made the `News@gmail.com' a link, not AMVNews@gmail.com
- The contact email address for the producer (since I wasn't sure if there was supposed to be a period or underscore) on the contact page reads AMVNews@gmail.ORG -- oops! there is a gmail.org, but not sure if it's google owned. CK's email in the contact page also reads ceekay@gmail.org
- The member profile links in each of the newsletter sections actually links to my profile! Not theirs! An example can be seen by clicking on ck25 here
or at the main newsletter page, and includes the studio link at the bottom, and all member links inside the articles like this one.
It's like this in each section.
- Junk characters in url, there is a ~ before all the urls in here and here for example, making every link on the page break, since the link ends up being processed as a relative link like:
ew
or this (which also shows the profile bug):
more ew
You might want to check the other pages for this, I didn't.
Suggestions:
- Make the names in the contact page links to their profiles, and maybe even make the emails mailto's
Login problems
- Since the newsletter is in the `members' section, when I got the email, I was like cool! But all the important info you have to click to see. So I clicked. And I got a login page. Fine, you want me to have an account, so random people can't just forward the newsletter around. I login, and I find myself back at the members home page! We've put up with this problem for years, going to download a local video, login in, and then being redirected to members home instead of back to the video... isn't it time this got addressed, especially since it causes problems with the newsletter?
- Keep up the good work! Despite the above problems, I really enjoyed the newsletter. Once a month sounds ambitious, so I wish you the best of luck and know that I'll enjoy them all. And don't fret about the above too much, there are always problems in the beginning. Just look at gmail, it's still in beta!

I've been waiting for Resk or Anamorphic to respond to some of these concerns, but hey, Scintilla's I can do
For adding the link, I was actually just chatting with Derobert and he said it would be possible, though there are already links en-masse there. I also am not entirely sure if it has been decided that all the issues will be emailed, or if this is just a temporary method of publication (as I was chatting with Dero, he was also complaining about all the "bounced" emails he received in return).
Anyway, I hope some of that helped, as for the problems that quadir brought up, I'll leave that to Resk and/or Anamorphic as it was they who were in charge of the editing and publication. (plus I don't have the access to change those things )

As far as I understand it, the newsletter comes in two forms. One, is the e-mail. This is to let people know (who don't visit the site regularly) that a new issue is up. The e-mail is not the full newsletter.
- A link has yet to be added, but as far as I understood it, there would be one, as well as some graphics for each of the sections.
- With the log in problem, you could always just stay logged in Works for me lol.
- CK's e-mail matches what he gave as his e-mail contact, on our main newsletter forums, so I can only assume it's correct.
- The AMVNews@gmail.com problem will be fixed.
- The member links are definitly a problem. It would appear each one returns you to your own account (I tried it, and it goes to mine) instead of where it's supposed to. Hopefully this can be fixed soon.
Since this is our first issue, there are bound to be problems. Chances are, everything won't be running smoothly untl even the third issue, as new things are being added for the second.

Thanks a lot for the heads up on the issues/bugs with this release. Resk has covered everything quite well, and I don't think there's anything left uncovered. ^_^ We'll be tackling esch of those bugs by next issue, and will hopefully have everything fixed within the next week with this issue.
As far as the release itself goes, it will be in the form you recieved it- The overall e-mail, with the introduction, summaries, and conclusion, with links to the articlesa and the main newsletter page.
I also have login problems, but they normally occur with Explorer. My Firefox doesn't log me out nearly as much.
I'm glad you liked the first issue! (Warts and all)
