I generally keep most of my ideas in my head until I feel that I have a good idea of what I want to do. Sometimes, that's immediately, sometimes not. For example, I have a Lain idea that has been floating around in my head for months because I don't feel it is concrete enough to do yet. I also have a Bastard idea that I want to work with before I start editting it. I am currently working on a different Bastard video that originally began as a multiple-series vid.
It all boils down to how confident I feel about the idea. Sometimes, it's not until I actually start pulling clips when I get all of my good ideas. Flipping through the series frame-by-frame sometimes gives me moments of inspiration.
But as far as a list goes, it's all in my head. They just float there until I have need for them.

- 1 secret that I am going to start after AWA
- 1 new Giant Robo... waiting for the DVDs
- Another secret... waiting to get the DVD and figure out how to work with it - I've heard this is nightmarish footage to work with, technical problem-wise
- 1 Rose of Versailles - no footage

Hmmm, I used to keep my AMV ideas in my head...until I got so many rolling around that I had to write them down or risk forgetting some. So to date I've got about 7 written down on my computer, about 8 in a notebook, and another 5 or so (probably more) in my head. I know I'm not going to get around to making them all, but I'm too busy at the moment to post the ideas, lyrics, scene suggestions and all that on the Suggestions forum.
Everyone is not the same as you.
Get over it.

How many ideas waiting in the wings? Probably too many. heh
Honestly, I come up with some pretty off the wall ideas, most are just tossed into the "Would it be possible and/or Rational" pile, but many make it to my TO DO list. Everything from Satire to romance to shock horror has made the TO DO list.... now, just finding the time would be nice.
Mostly, I keep ideas floating, and as I find the desire and time, pick them up and work on them. I used to try to pressure and make deadlines for completion, but that just makes it less fun.
Party on!

Great series, and although fansubs are available, I'm not sure they are usable. Every now and then I think about ordering the DVDs, but so far have come to my senses each time. I do have a song; it's in French and it's about the Knight of Eon - which was the story basis for "Rose". But I haven't done anything about a concept or idea. Definitely on the back burner (way back).Big Big Truck wrote:-... 1 Rose of Versailles - no footage
You may have heard that the French director, Demy, made a live action "Rose" movie called Lady Oscar. I didn't think too much of it as a film, but I suppose it might work for an MV. The sets and costumes were actually quite good.
