Hello,
I have been trying for a while now and can not figure out just how to get my DVD's onto my windows movie maker to actually try to make a vid. I know you need a DVD ripper or something. I have a dvd drive and windows movie maker...If thats at all useful. Can someone point me to proper software/tutorial on how to build a vid...step by step?? Any help please!

Well, around here it's pretty universally suggested that you install this:
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... mvapp.html
The AMVapp contains VirtualDubMod, AVISynth, DVD Decrypter, DGIndex, and a whole bunch of other stuff that's free and very handy for this kind of stuff.
The stuff on this list is also useful:

If you're looking for an actual non-linear editor, there's the Software List sticky, found at the top of the Video Software Help board.
