Well, it depends. If you want action, I'd put it like this:

A hard rocking tune, if you want to make it a serious action video, or a slow ballad (not a love song, or anything). The words don't have to match 100%, but make sure you get at least a few of them met. Also, make sure you check what the theme of the song is.

i think the song sets the theme for ur amv, as ramonesfan mentioned. action AMV...either a very upbeat rap song with lots of bass or a rock song that is LOUD and plenty of drums. i dont know what ur AMV is about but...

how about...
linkin park- one step closer
missy elliott- lose control
lloyd banks- on fire
J-kwon- get XXX'd
DMX- ruff riders anthem
bonnie tyler- i need a hero
nelly- on the grind
DMX- party up (up in here)
just some suggestions
"In complete darkness, we are all the same. It is only our knowledge and wisdom that separate us. Dont let your eyes deceive you." - Janet Jackson (Rhythm Nation)

how dare you tell a newb to use linkin park....shame on you. dont we have enough of those already?

I suggest not using linkin park. So many videos using them are already out there most people will just pass up your video when they see what song you used. I like his other suggestions though.

From Bauzi:
Uhmm... Well the lyrics fit perfectly with the amv  If I wouldn´t speak german, it would doesn´t matter!
how dare you tell a newb to use linkin park....shame on you. dont we have enough of those already?
AMEN!!!!
And: I think Linkin Park songs are not easy to handle. It is diffivult to fit the whole thing well with the music...
missy elliott- lose control
I don´t think it is a good song for a noob!

I think the lyrics are only important for drama-,love- and sentimal-AMV. Just "slow" amvs... In an action amv it is only the energy of the song, that counts.
Energie has for me groups like:
Slipknot or Spineshank
or use O.P.M

If you want a more happy action-AMV choose one song of the "Donots" (<--- hard to fail a good song of them  )
For more wicked things use groups like "Rob Zombie" or "Marilyn Manson"
Or songs like this one:
Deftones - Elite
Deftones - Heads Up
Deftones - Engine No.9

Something with german lyrics, that rocks the house:
Rammstein - Links 2 3 4 (I am not sure If the song has that name, just search for "Rammstein-Links ..." that should do it)

I agree with both of you all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's my two cents.

If you wanna make a straight forward action AMV, try stuff like:

Pantera-Shattered
AC/DC-This Means War
Manowar-Violence And Bloodshed
Sammy Hagar-VOA
Dokken-Cry Of The Gypsy
Shinedown-Fly From The Inside
Audiovent-Gravity
Tommy Shaw-Remo's Theme (What If)
And some others I can't think of right now.

If you wanna make an action video that's supposed to be fun, some stuff I recommend are:

Night Ranger-Eddie's Comin' Out Tonight
Kix-Blow My Fuse
Megadeth-Train of Consequences
RHCP-Fight Like A Brave
Skid Row-Piece Of Me
I'm not sure what else fits under this category.

If you're going for an action video that involves an element of drama thrown in, try:

Roger Daltrey-After The Fire
Dennis DeYoung-Warning Shot
Honeymoon Suite-Lethal Weapon
Guns N Roses-Knockin' On Heaven's Door

If I think of any more, I'll post them too.

Whip, do yourself a favor, and just do what you think will work for you.
