and you would be one of the very few who would do such a thing. Most people don't even read the first post they just go, "FREE OPS!!!! POST POST POST POST POST POST!!!!", and half of them end up asking for an op after the thread creator has already finished giving them

Many of my criteria have been covered by what the other folks have said. Recognizability and number of replies definitely factor in. Another thing for me personally is spelling/grammar; if someone can't write an announcement and video description without mangling the English language (with the exception of those who I happen to know don't speak English as their first language), I'm less likely to believe that it's going to be a worthwhile video.

Oh im also more likely to look at the announcement if its - for example - "title of video - music/anime" compared to " NEW VID LOOOOOK!!!!!" or "ITS THE bEsT JuST WATCH!! LEAVE oP"

Like cloud said - to an extent - Id rather look at something more clean cut the to be "crappy looking"

Rarely works. I used to give out serious constructive ops for free. Out of 80 or so serious ops I gave I recieved, maybe, 4 or 5 in return although to be fair I did specify it wasn't required. Besides, if your goal is to get ops then you should trade them instead of giving them away for free.

It's funny how some people who don't have english as their first language actually write better than people who do. :P

X2. I feel like we're not giving enough attention to some newcomers...
I just hope the VCA will not be just a popularity contest, and that new skilled creators will get some votes....
