I need an anime

I have found a song by Gilbert and Sullivan called 'When your Lying Awake' (I can't remember which one its from) and I want to make it into an AMV. However I am having problems finding an anime that suits it. Any suggestions?

When you're lying awake with a dismal headache, and repose is taboo'd by anxiety,

And you're playing round games, and he calls you bad names when you tell him that "ties pay the dealer";
But this you can't stand, so you throw up your hand, and you find you're as cold as an icicle,
In your shirt and your socks (the black silk with gold clocks), crossing Salisbury Plain on a bicycle:
And he and the crew are on bicycles too--which they've somehow or other invested in
And he's telling the tars all the particulars of a company he's interested in
It's a scheme of devices, to get at low prices all goods from cough mixtures to cables;
(Which tickles the sailors), by treating retailers as though they were all vegetables

You get a good spadesman to plant a small tradesman (first take off his boots with a boot-tree),
And his legs will take root, and his fingers will shoot, and they'll blossom and bud like a fruit-tree
From the greengrocer tree you get grapes and green peas, cauliflowers, pineapples, and cranberries,
While the pastrycook plant cherry brandy will grant, apple puffs, and three corners, and Banburys
The shares are a penny, and ever so many are taken by Rothschild and Baring,

And just as a few are allotted to you, you awake with a shudder despairing
You're a regular wreck, with a crick in your neck, and no wonder you snore,
for your head's on the floor,
and you've needles and pins from your soles to your shins,
and your flesh is a-creep, for your left leg's asleep,
and you've cramp in your toes, and a fly on your nose,
and some fluff in your lung, and a feverish tongue,
and a thirst that's intense,
and a general sense that you haven't been sleeping in clover;

It would help to know the genre of the music. I havn't got a clue as to what sort of music uses this sort of lyrics and rhymes.
As far as matching this HUGE lyricbase to a single anime goes, i don't think it can be done.

At first the feverish illness theme reminded me of NGE, Perfect Blue and especially Akira but the very specific image of the bed acting up is impossible to match exactly.

The next part of the lyrics, the part about the dream, reminds me of an asortment of Ghibli movies (Laputa and Chihiro especially).

As far as the last par goes, it's surprisingly easy to find someone turning into a tree in anime (Ninja Scroll, Black Cat) but the rest is, as it has been with the first two pat, waaaay to specific to be found in any anime.

Check out Tobari O Akete though - it resembles it somewhat in the atmosphere (if you ignore the discomfort themes)

Basically I need one main character who has trouble sleeping and rides a bicycle (a judge would be useful), a ship (one that turns into a 4 wheeler would be useful), people eating, a child who also rides a bicycle, sailors (tars), traders, vegetables, a man who turns into a tree, and some shots of food.

The mood of the song is unhappy (due to trouble sleeping), annoyance (during the dream and waking), happiness (that the dream / song are over).

well not that he has trouble sleeping but...kenshin from Rk is troubled by his past...would that work?

Tetsuo, the Crazy Psychic Guy from the movie 'Akira'. There are these psychic little FreakMidgets who screw with his head while he's in this weird hospital. Mainly while he's sleeping. After a while it drives him insane. In the end of the movie, he finds peace when he actually becomes another universe.

Yea, I think 'Akira' may be a good base for this AMV.
