Good video, thanks for uploading it. The quality is somewhat noticable, though generally it feels more like just a ok compression instead of any real VHS damage. Then again, I think the quality has its own place in video/amvs. It doesn't feel sterile like the new clear, pristine ones, though those are enjoyable, it has a cherished feel to it. This was probably the biggest problem with Elfen Lied.

The VHS quality wasn't that great, but your right, part of it is compression ... I made that MPEG a long time ago. I should dig out the MJPEG master and make a DivX from it.

I understand what you mean about the strile feeling of new shows and AMVs. About 2 years ago I actually took the Perfect Blue DVD and recreated this video - 100% identical except with much better quality. I may be biased because I have fond memories of the good old days (back around 2000) when I made this video, but I hated the way the new version looked and never put it up for upload.

That's one of my old favorites and I'd been looking everywhere for it since the video links went down on aluminumstudios.com. Probably the (second) best Perfect Blue video I've ever seen ("Torn" being the best).
