Working Under Pressure...

Post by genestarwind21122 » Sun May 07, 2006 7:18 pm

Well alot of creators probably go through this as a deadline approches. However this is my first time working under a deadline that is closing in fast. How do you keep yourself focus on your video? What do you do at this point in time if your running into a road block? I think I have an idea of what to do but now is how to edit to the beats to have that beat sync just right. Plus of course it has to be the week of the finals for college. So what do you do in these situations. How do you work through them and manage to get your video done without it going sour at the end.

you haul ass to get done. :D But anyway I'm working under a deadline to, but mine is until June 23rd :D I would say to get your video done you should probably set your prioritys... but i really think your finals are more important than some amv... but try to finish it if at all possible. :P

That's what you get for getting sucked into the world of competitive AMVs.

Wait, wait, your feeling more pressure from your upcoming AMV deadline then from finals? If you are such a genius editing has be easy. When I get a roadblock I just listen to the song over and over and over and over and over again. Something always pops into my head, if that does not work just go tinker with AE or something.

lol.

I know my economics grade is a lock for sure. And my General Physics is not going to be that hard. The only things I have to worry about is German 212 and Western Art History 2. It's not that I'm feeling more pressure from my amv's. I'm feeling pressure because of the time left and I got stuck. It's not like I'm on lyrics where I can skip over it. I'm on an instrumental part at the end of the song.

After months of procrastination, I ended up not being able to submit Anime Academy Heroes to Wai-con which was originally what I intended to send there on December last year...

However, I was still desperate to send them something new. So what I did was, locked myself in my room 24 hours or so before the deadline itself... turned off my internet (chat programs, browsing, downloads, everything), made sure I had plenty of liquids to drink in the room plus some chocolate (it really helps  ) and voila... Listen To Your Heart was born...

You'd be surprised what you can achieve when you get rid of all the distractions...

hmmm... usually I am quite lazy when editing, anyways, up till now I managed to make up with every deadline. I work harder when I feel that i have to get done, but since I started the projects before, I am always done on time and don't have that much pressure.
