My new digs. We just moved in last week. So far I still have huge piles of crap that I have no place to put since my new room is about half the size of the old one, PLUS I alsp have about 8 computers on the floor under that table with the coffee pot waiting to be repaired and sent to the homerooms.
Dig the green tape holding the dual monitor set up together for the student at the top right. There are two more like it off screen.
I have these poles in my room. It's the only room in the building with them. For some reason my frequent requisitions for strippers has not been answered.
For some reason I wound up with a bunch of birth control and health books on my desk. I have no idea who left them, but I kept one in the hopes that my students will read it and never attempt to reproduce.
That flashlight is the bulk of my earthquake supplies, along with a bottle of water (dasani 12 oz) and a box of band-aids.
Kino's journey and rouronin kenshin for some student AMV projects. An extra 200gb sata and 200 (or 120) ide waiting to go into something.
As a teacher, I can't afford to get both lunch AND starbucks, so I steal tic-tacs from the student store.
A bluetooth wireless digitizer pad for working with Photoshop, a HUGE goddam mousepad for people that use my computer and fail to understand that you can just move the wireless mouse to the opposite side of the keyboard. I can't tell you how many times I've watched people using the computer by crossing their mouse hand over their body. Try it. Put your mouse on the 'wrong' side of the keyboard for a while. It sucks right?
In my room, you will always have an American Flag. On flag day... I celebrate the American flag.
Wireless headphones. I'm thinking of plugging the receiver into a little clock radio and tuning it to a popular station. Currently it just plays random songs from the 12,000 song library on my computer. (unfortunately that library includes sound effects, so you randomly get bangs, whooshes and car horns along with your music if you are using them)
This stupid bulliten board. It has a field trip and information from 2002 on it. nobody can find the key. I put it in the hallway at the end of the day, and it winds up back in my room the next morning. I've given up on it; I'm just gonna start taping shit to the front of the glass.
On my radio I had three CD's in it when I took this. Beatles, Dwight Yoakam, and Linkin Park... on random play.
