I want to try a rap AMV

I want to do a rap AMV just because I hardly d/led any rap amv's at all and because I thought it would be neet to try...

I have a LOT of anime resources and am just wondering if anybody had any ideas or something they might like to see?

I was thinking maybe Jay-Z "99 Problems" and Negima??

Any other ideas?

I once had a crazy idea to do "Outta Control" by 50 Cent to Akira...

The remix, I think. Whichever one has the awesome beat.

If you can make one that works I will be impressed, when I think anime, rap music would not even enter my mind. I like all styles of music, but I have not seen an anime, that I can think of, that would even go with rap music, the closest I have seen is maybe FFX-2 the real emmotions song and thats pop not rap, truthfully when I see anime I think rock, metal or Japanese music but never rap, that is not to say it can't be done though

I've always entertained the idea of Dr. Dre's Murder Ink with Noir, but the song is a bit explicit.

i've seen better days by sublime, although it's not really rap, at least not like dre or lil jon. i'm pretty sure anime characters seen better days. or somethin like that.

I've just made an AMV which contains a 1,5 munute long piece of rap music. I guess I wouldn't have done it if I hadn't some rapper friends. It's really interesting to create a song especially for your AMV - so that you can think ahead about the footage you want to put in and write the lyrics accordingly

ssj4lonewolf has already made several pretty good amv's utilizing rap songs. So it can definately be done. You might want to type in that username in the super search and view one of his amv's to maybe get some ideas/motivation.

Can you make that video?! I love Akira and I really thing you should make it.

Um, why is that stopping you? If the explicitness of the lyrics fit with what's going on with the action, or they don't change the feeling you're trying to present with the video, then there's no problem in using it. If you just don't want to use the song because the lyrics are explicit, that's because of personal taste. Not a big enough reason to scrap a video idea.

Thanks for all the ideas guys, I've decided to run with my initial choice and make a 99 Problems - Mahou Sensei Negima Video... Keep the ideas coming though because maybe this thread will inspire someone else to make a Rap AMV... thanks for the ssj4lonewolf tip as well...
