I'm not necessarily looking for special effects across the board, I'm talking about original artistic design. This is a lot more than white flashes, wipes and other canned effects.

I wish I had it handy, but there was a trailer out several years ago for Legacy of Kain: Defiance (I think that was the one, I don't think it was for Blood Omen) that had a particular scene set behind what was meant to look like a portcullis. I remember being fascinated by how it was done, because it really wouldn't be that hard even though it looked fantastic. Of course, that trailer is long gone and me, stupid me, didn't save it, but I'm still inspired and on the lookout for AMVs with that kind of unique, original manipulation of images for a specific purpose. This is all very vague, sorry...

p.s. If anyone knows what LoK trailer I'm talking about and actually has it on hand, I'd love a copy!!!

I still think what I posted qualifies.

That might be my ego speaking, though. (If it is, and if you can show me where I can get something like this in a can, please let me know. It would save a whole lot of time...)

In any case, I'm surprised this hasn't been posted yet.

I don't realy care about 'original animation'. And before I continue let me say this is my opinion, I recognize some artists came from a more... artistic background. But not me. I'm just interested in the edits therefore I'm more the type to compare your original animation to the pro's work rather than just enjoy it for what it is... Maybe enjoy is not the word I'm looking for. Maybe it is

. But I'll like a TIGHTLY sinked Naruto vid better than a sloppily put together 'original animation' vid. Pretty much all original animation videos are sloppily put together anyway, IMO, since the artist is takeing on ALOT of responsibility.

I just enjoy more ORIGINAL stuff useing COMMON animes for instance Ayanefan's Contagious or That Project Trailer (that was supposed to come out awhile ago -_-)- my title I'd given it... you know, that KGNE thing that was made to mock Animenfo some how (probably the same beef I have with Harumi Suzimaya. The GOD of animes... that sucks). I won't say fanart is bad (HENTAI DOJINS!! lol...) just... I can think that

Ive been working on my own little AMV its a little diffrent from everyone elses because its my own drawings that im using so it should come out to be really good. ^_^. Im basing it on the song wake up by 10 years with my two main people fight it out in the anime ive been working on for a while.

its going to be cool if i do say so myself.
