not to mention judge is on a mac O:

lack of mood sync... or over cheezy mood/lyric sync (unless they are going for cheezy funny)

its sad to see an audience laugh at a drama vid

Hmm... a lot of things

- Crappy image quality (seen enough of those as it is already. Strangely, it seems to be linked to the most popular animes out there.... connection? )

- Randomly pieced together footage (where it really makes no to little sense at all how the "story" (or rather "clips") fits with the song)

- Too much white/flashing effect (not that I get a seizure, but annoyed as **** still manages to occur just like the doctor said)

- Subtitles (which I am a hypocrite for saying, and deserve to be punished for)

- Bad editing (speaks for itself... Sometimes you wonder if it even has been edited...)

- When the AMV starts or ends with another song (I'm probably one of the few to think so. But when you're getting yourself mentally prepared for some mushy, sentimental thing, and get to her some goofy music as an intro sound, it really kills it for me...)

Whoa. Long list. But I think I could manage to make one equally long for a reversed question of what "makes" an AMV good. Therefore;
I shalt not feel bad.

Subtitles and watermarks annoy me (though I'm very guilty for using them in the past^^)
One thing I havn't seen listed yet is Lip Flapping. It's not bad if there's something happening in the scene but if it just a shot of someones head and the only movement is their lips...the drives me crazy!!!

My biggest pet peeve in any music video is the scenes skipping.
You know sometimes how videos will play, stop for a split second, skip that split second, and keep playing and it does this in steady rythm?
Another pet peeve is not really with the video, but to the videos with the links that say "None" it bold red letters.
Why, in the world, are there videos on the site, made and ready to go, if there is no way whatsoever to ever watch them??!!

I also understand it may be a computer thing, and they are having trouble finding the link.

But My all time greatest pet peeve, is this.
You find a vid that looks good, you read about it and decide you gotta see this. You click to load and wait from 3-30 minutes for it to load, it loads and there is absolutely zero video!!!

I also don't understand the Direct and Indirect links, maybe someone can help me with that!

this site is meant to catalogue videos not host them... the hosting is an added "perk"

get the DIVX codec, it should work then.

direct links are supposed to be linked directly to the video
indirect links take you to another site where you can dl the video

And I mean pure bullshit encodes. Where I would like to hit my head against the wall when I´m watching. Super exampel: People "rip" the amvs from the Tube to make amvs out again. ---> bullshit²

-Editing
Random action is ok as long as it is more than just clips putting together over an music layer with no sense, effort, whatever. Or completly miss the meaning of a song or lyrics. It hasn´t be really synci with the song, but it should go into the same direction. Wasn´t someone here with an fun amv with the really serious song of Nickelback around here (I think that the song is called "If everyone cares" or somehting).
Overlay the music with one episode set up two trimss and ready. Pure: ARGH!

-Flap Lip Attack
You know what I mean. Not bad lip sync, just flap lip charakters all over the time.

-"PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE RATE ME!!!!!!111"

-Subtitles

-Numbers in the Titel
Can´t people just don´t write in a more normal way? That´s something that I always hated about the internet.

overuse of crappy strobe effects... or just crappy useless put in there to sync to a beat or w/e and does nothing NOTHING for anything and im like STOP DOING THAT IT LOOKS STUPID ANYWAY... oooo like putting color bars up... oooo i just wanna tear them off the screen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (medication? what medication)

And i guess i have to chime in with.............The Face flash!,.....one frame that they cant get rid of and just flashes between two other frames....I had that problem back with Magix but have since grown out of that
