Internal or External Sync?

I generally prefer internal sync (my videos are proof of that).

That being said, any kind of sync is better than none.

I like a mix of the two, but I probably use external more than internal.. depends on the video though.
If the music demands effects then let there be effects!

Almost always internal for me. I'm not a big fan of fx and I almost always enjoy seeing the synching of elements of the anime to aspects of the song.

I'm a sucker for effects, so I love watching good external sync happening. However, I love editing with internal sync. It makes you feel tingly inside.

I think it's a false dichotomy. It's not INTERNAL VS. EXTERNAL IN A FIGHT TO THE DEATH. You can have both.

"Whatever the song calls for" is what looks good to me, usually. I personally suck at external sync, so I mean as an audience member.

Most of you missed the whole point of the thread lol... I'm not saying which should, could, would, or have to be used. It was "which appeals to you the most and why."

Internal sync is more interesting to me because like someone said... I forgot who.. It's as if the anime and song are meshing together. Sure external sync has its better sides for intense amv's if done right. But to me internal is more natural and appealing.

I almost do nothing but internal... (there answered the question... though I think I did the first time). My best example of internal is my Shine V1 video. However I'd think you'd be more likely to notice the 'nothing but internal' effect in my Institutionalized video.

And yes, I'm a dirty little pimp-whore ;p.

everyone failed to see it when i tried ¨internal sync¨ :/

the choice of internal or external sync doesn't make a difference to me watching a vid, one is a visual cue created by the amv editor, the other is a visual cue created by the original artists. how the editor chooses the cue in context with the audio and rest of the video is more significant.
