Wow, that sucks. He was a pretty cool guy. Loved a LOT of his AMVs.

R.I.P. good sir.

Sad to see him die, as his Negima segment from AMV Hell 3 inspired me big time when I did my Negi Springfield cosplay at a number of conventions.

Gonna miss you, Roll! You never would have known how ill he was, he always had an upbeat attitude about everything. Glad he is in a better place now and pain free.

@purplecoatcat - I have that A-Kon video, and it still makes me laugh even though I have watched it a bazillion times. I hope Shining Finger will release it for him. It's a work of art!

Yeah, I love that segment. I even had him send me a HQ version of it. :(

He never did update his profile with the link I gave him for his Dedicated to MJ video....

He will be missed.

I've only briefly met him at Otakon a couple of times. Seemed like a cool guy. Sad to hear this.

I've only met him briefly, but he seemed like a good guy.

RIP Justin. ;_;

Man...wow. Like many others, I had no idea he was battling cancer. Roll was a good man. I had the honor of competing against him in AMV Iron Chef at Kumoricon 2009. Last time I saw him was April at Sakura Con 2010. I'm so in shock right now. He will be missed.

oh fuck...

This just killed my day. He was a cool guy and I was glad I had the chance to hang out with him at SakuraCon this year. Was really looking forward to seeing him next year also.

I never got the opportunity to meet him, but my condolences go out to his family and friends. It's great to see so many of the "older generation" of editors expressing their sympathies here as well.
