So the new updated list is on the first post at the top. I'll be posting the results there each week and moving the old results for reference down into a new post.

Took another hour and a half to manually update the spreadsheet. I'm hoping to talk with someone on the site about auto linking the stuff to my spreadsheet , so the only thing I have to update is the bonus points and when a new video makes it on to the Star Scale Ratings.

Okay so here is your newly updated TOP 40 AMV's of 2015 list as of July 13th 2015. How the results were figured out : if a video has 5-9 star ratings in a week it gets a .1, 10 star ratings it got .2 added to it's score, for 20 it got .3, 30 it got .4 and so on.

We had quiet a few videos jumping into the TOP 40 this week and taking big leaps too. We had some videos fall out of the top but can always make a rebound next week. I can understand how these would come to get a lot of hits on Youtube and be consistently popular for a long time.

But I don't understand how these have such a lock on the top 5 here and how the top 10 so rarely even shuffles around. Is it due to the "Here's a video that was highly rated recently..." feature on the front page? How can there still be people who haven't downloaded and rated these? How many new members do we get every week, anyway?

Can't underestimate that... my video's only been featured that way a few times, but each time, it gets a lot of previews. The first time it happened I got hundreds of previews so quickly I thought the stats were broken. The rest of the time I get maybe like... 10 previews a week. But, it doesn't necessarily translate into star ratings. So I think a lot of people are actually seeing videos on the front page and previewing them without an account, so they don't see the rating page. I'm not sure where the star ratings come from... the handful of people that actually have an account? My total star ratings for that video are a fraction of the previews (to be more precise, something like 6 or 7% of people who have supposedly watched it left a rating).

So these are as of today what the top popular videos are based on the whole year of stats. This is just being updated weekly as the star averages change and if the video makes the star scale ratings or not.

For Example with Wharriors it's averaging 15-25 star ratings per week. So it is getting a bonus .2-.3 added to its score. However videos that just appear and only get 5-9 ratings only get a .1 bonus added to their score. While there score is higher on the org, and it's ranked higher doesn't mean it is the higher video based on lower amount of feedback.

I'll be more than willing to share the spreadsheet I have to show you guys how it works. I'll post a screen shot with the next update.

With an impressive star average and receiving a ton of score feedback, this video can make a run for the top spot. John the Hellhound took another giant leap this week. As did Transmutayshun by Ileia jumping up 11 spots and closing in on the TOP 20. And Victims of the night jumps into the TOP 20 this week as well. Whoarriors, Anime 404, and Evolution continue their consecutive streaks for making the star scale ratings.
