how about It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine) by R.e.m.? That seems like it would fit nicely.

What does "Leonard Bernstein" have to do with Spriggan?

Even if it were used, it would have to be edited very tightly, with tons of cuts and transitions. It's such a fast song, that I think if there weren't a cut every two seconds or less, it wouldn't match the flow of the song.
