still trying to compress

I've been using flasKMPG to change the files to a format that Premiere can read.. what would be a better choice? does this mean that I can't load my video onto the org? :(

Do you have the files you ripped from the DVD still on your computer? You'll need them for AviSynth. You can go back and create the project files in DVD2Avi with them.

No, this project was done in..... september.... I think, and I've made 2 more videos after it. Plus the one I'm working on now.

You should be ok. If you are halfway through a project I don't suggest switching to avisynth until you begin your next one. For the videos you have already completed: are you able to open the file in your video player and watch the video? Also what codec did you use to compress the videos with?

It plays in WMP just fine, as for the codec just used whatever Premiere had standard, how do I find out? My computer knowlage doesn't extend much beyond point, L/R click, and drag. :)

Plays in WMP just fine. As for the codec I have no Idea, I used whatever Premiere had standard.... computers arn't exactly my forte, something I am desperatly trying to correct. :)

You have the AMVpack right? There is a program in there that is called abcAVI tag editor. If you open the avi files in that it will say what video stream is compressed with.
