That was before I knew what "brb" meant or how to quote messages... and when "9600 baud" was considered fast.
Those were the days....

Uh, for me it was when 2400bps was considered fast. Darn kids, get off my lawn!

Don't you guys recommend ffdshow? Codec packs are usually either evil, or designed to *en*code, or made by [url=http://dl.matroska.org/counter/packs.php]matroska[url] guys - so concidered very very evil by some.

There *is* another 'Gordian Knot' pack that has some sort of spyware in it - but the one off doom9.org is clean. It packages pretty much everything an amv creator (or watcher) needs to get started, including ffdshow. It's just a quick method to get it all at once, and so far I've never had someone who installed it fail to watch a video successfully (unlike a few I know who tried to install ffdshow alone, or just divx, or just the newest xvid codec).

Call it a 'one answer' that covers lots of problems. And if that person ever goes from watching to making vids, he has a head start. ^.^

I thought Gordian Knot had adware, because of DivX... not spyware.

Whatver, 'bad'ware then.

If you want your comp clean, don't download anything ever, and don't connect to the internet unless you have a killer firewall. There, problem solved.

That's no fun. :? Anyway, Gordian Knot is supposed to have adware (Gator) because of DivX but my spyware destroyer program got rid of all Gator stuff and DivX still works. So it's really no big deal. But even so, ffdshow doesn't have anything and can play pretty much any video.
