depends on the consept. usualy most of my vids have used consepts and idea's which make them easeir to do. the amv im curently doing is one which im not sure is actualy posible without fucking it up totoaly, so its taking me ages

Longest: 12 months on/off. It was my first video though, so I had to learn programs encoding editing tecniqes etc. I was also really perfectionist about it.

Shortest: About 60% done. looks like 1 to 2 months.

Do you guys plan out the vid before you start editing like what scenes to use at certain parts of the song or do you just say this is the song and the anime im using and wing it? I personally have to plan it out otherwise i will drive my self nuts trying to find a scene that fits a certain part of the song.

Well catgirl, I guess about 6-8hrs average. I was never a very creative person so I don't think of using all the amazing effects some of these fine creators use. I try to make a simple "three minute" movie, a story to the songs lyrics. I don't want ot start any really long projects, when you get my age you don't buy green bananas.

As for planning a video, I get an idea either when I hear a song or watch an anime, I capture the video, let wmm make clips of it, import the song and start looking for clips that fit what I feel it is saying.

Shortest time??? Lets see..... I made two videos that took me an hour each. Both are considered really good by many, but the vid quality is horrific, even lower than your average 4mb rm vid.
