Hm depending on which style, which language and how depressing the song should be...
You already have got some good suggestion from Rock and Heavy Metal.
Not to forget Nightwish, especially the last two songs from their new Album Once could fit. Okay, I don't know what "Kuolema Tekee Taiteijijan" means (I think, it's Finnish, as Nightwish is from Finland), but the mood in the song could fit. "Higher than hope" is also not bad and alternating between bright and happy instrumental parts and depressing parts.
Or something from HIM (you know, these Wannabe-Satanistics who done one title on the Soundtrack for "The 13th Floor")
In case of electronic music, you may consider Deine Lakeien, Veljanov (don't know if spelling is correct, he's the singer of Deine Lakeien), Wolfsheim or Silke Bischoff (respectively 18 Summers, the band is named after a girl who got killed while the hostage drama in Gladbeck/Germany but now has renamed to 18 Summers because a former member claimed rights for the name). Don't know if you have the possibility to buy CDs from these bands as all of them are from Germany.
Even more depressing? Try David Hasselhoff's "Lookig for freedom". When you here this song, you want to jump out of the window
(nevertheless, I like this song, it's near to being so bad that it's already good)
