Definitely Kare Kano/His and Her Circumstances come to mind.. then let's see...

Love Hina
Hana Yori Dango (though it's more soap operaish than cutesy)
Fushigi Yuugi is a good one too
kodocha--or Child's Play is a cute romance for them being in 6th grade ^_^

But yeah.. like the others have said, they're romances of every kind and you can find romance in a ton of anime. Those are some of my favorites though that come to mind and more centered on romance.

Perfect Blue. If you view it in a somewhat skewed way there's some romance in the form of me-manias end. If nothing else it'd be a fairly original choice for a nice romantic AMV.

Funny, I just posted the Inu Yasha - Finger 11's - One Thing suggestion.

Salior moon is way overdone, but romantic and has a (super kawaii scene where toddler Usagi give toddler Mamoru a rose (Sailor Moon Movie R, I think). Kodomo No Omocha is cute and has some cute romantic moments.

Revolutionary girl Utena is really romantic.... Escaflowne has some nice moments.

I really love the romantic animes.... I'm actually looking for a new one to read... any suggestion?
