What musical style do you prefer to use?

People here are not averse to any kind of music generally, they only complain when people do it badly

i a dont realy have much preference as long as i can listen to the song for an hour without geting bored of it.

My videos tend to reflect my general taste in music, which is mostly alternative (although the stuff I listen to is usually a bit harder than the songs I've used so far). But above all, I look for a song with pertinent lyrics (and I do tend to use lyrical music above instrumental) and am ambience that fits the source material. As long as those two are met, the genre of music doesn't matter quite as much to me.

Agreed. See this year's Otakon drama winner for an example of Linkin Park being used WELL with an over-used anime. Nobody complained about that.

Or did they?

I'll use just about anything that I would normally listen to.

Unfortunately, there is not enough variety in this.

I use music that hasn't been used on the org yet.

IE: Search for Blood Duster, Kataklysm, six feet under, cannibal corpse, and soon ill use another band Skinless (Crispy Kids {grin})

I have a fairly defined music taste... To simplify the description for you, I like most things one would consider to have avant-garde elements, though I lean primarily into the rock stream (still from the same avant-garde angle).

There are some songs, pieces and even whole styles I absolutely love and can't yet think of making an AMV to, usually because of my limited editing abilities.

From my observations thus far, I'm best at working with music that has a lot of musical texture and ambience (as opposed to being lyric- or melody-based). I may love fast and 'busy' music, but I don't think I'm up to par on editing a lot of it yet
