I got to agree. Poor guy probably didn't know what hit him! Besides, I wrote a very intriguing reply over in one of his "request for help" threads. The guy ain't all that bad, just a bit misguided in musical suggestions, which I can completely understand for a newcomer.
More on that in his thread. It's practically an essay on Music fans vs. Anime fans in the AMV Suggestion board.

How about "The Clincher" by Chevelle?
Here are the lyrics:
Touch
I'll stand for nothing less
Or never stand again
These are the limits when one's buried
This body's left the soul
Could we have known
Never would I, helped to nail down
Careful of drifting off
Now losing taste and touch
Turning a pale blue leaning in to say
This body's left the soul
The brain needs oxygen
Can't sneak around this bait
His catacomb has got me by the chin
This body's left the soul
[Chorus]
Could we have known
Never would I, helped to nail down
With nothing to gain
Here's the clincher, this should be you
Now saturate [x4] and touch
Now saturate [x3], the earth
Now saturate [x3], the earth
[Last chorus]
This happened to be never changing
Holding inside, the phobia
Made cold and crippled, ending it all

In some ways I'm surprised by this and in others I'm not. I'm surprised because I consider it a neat song that really presents a lot of emotion and could work well in an AMV if used effectivly. I'm not surprised because it's rarely known, save for those who have experienced Guide to the Galaxy in one way or another, as you've said. I should give it a shot someday.OtakuMan22 wrote:Plus, this song has NEVER BEEN USED FOR AN AMV! NEVER! There is no record of it in the AMV database and archives WHATSOEVER!
Probably too busy to be here right now.

THANK YOU!
You have no idea how much it means to me for you to take my idea seriously like that, and I would be practically honored if you made a vid using my idea. Hell, I don't care if you list me in the credits for concept. I just wanna see it!
BTW, DTJB, two things:
1) I dunno if I mentioned this before, but I really like the StarTropics avatar you got.
2) I searched for your vids and came up with three. None were available to download. Is there another place where I can see your work?

Here's an interesting one... Try the song "The Alchemist" by Heaven's Cry. Here's the lyrics:
http://www.lyrix.at/de/text_show/f4b13b ... e6c9c08cd6
It'd take some doing, but there can be a lot of focus on the Homonculii and/or their masterminds. Or others. The lyrics are ambiguous enough to fit many situations, yet specific enough that one can see it fitting the anime rather well.
I have another idea... but I might try to make it myself so for now it's hush-hush.
