So was it hard for you to come up with your first AMV idea?

It was an interesting story actually.. I was walking down the sidewalk on my way back from school one day qwhen all of a sudden...... WHAM!
....damn bike riders.
Umm.. so.. ya.. oh ya.. the amv thingy..
I had seen a few amvs, mostly DBZ ones that my brother downloaded. I was quickly interested and I decided to go download some more from studio sites I found using search engines and such. Anyways, before I got around to finally making my own, I messed around with other people's amvs by keeping the video and switching the audio I had just finished watching Eva and I just had this spotaneous desire to make something. My friend came over with his then 'new' Linkin Park cd and I asked him to play it for me for some inspiration. After a few songs, the song runaway just seemed to strike me as a Shinji type song, so I started editing right then and there. I worked on it for about 4-5 hours playing around with clips and trying to match them as best I could.
It didn't turn out too bad in the end. So, I guess my first amv didn't really have much thought placed into making it. It was all just spontaneous, but it was fun the whole way through.
Ow.. my shin hurts.. *shakes fist*

I started out pretty normally. In 6th grade some dude showed me a DBZ video (in mpeg form!) with More Human Than Human and I was hooked. I downloaded tons of dbz videos all using the clasics. Superbeast, More Human Than Human, Linkin Park, 3 Doors down, etcetera
So I actually spent 30 dollars on quicktime pro and downloaded tons of clips and made one huge 7 minute video that used 4 songs. Deftones - My Own Summer, Korn - Good God, Korn - Kamelatosis, White Zombie - Electric Head pt. 1
It was actually pretty good considering my editing software. I spent alot of time on it.
Then my sister was searching for anime pictures and stumbled on to the Bitches video. I visited Otaku Vengeance and looked for any songs that I knew. Come To Daddy was the only one I was familiar with so I downloaded Rae's various evil video and was blown away. That video is still very good by today's standards.
So I downloaded Kite and got a copy of premiere and I went from there. Die Motherfuckers was born 8)
The rest is history.

My introduction to anime:
DivX stumbles into the world and I watch a sweet encode of the sixth sense and my jaw drops... randomly download anything and everything I can find... including the dubs of macross plus, cyber city oedo 808, perfect blue, fatal fury, and ghost in the shell. Over the next summer I watched what would become my favorite anime, Escaflowne. My friends and I go crazy with anime viewing...
AMVs:
Start working in premiere 4.2 making what would later become my Eternal video. (shortly before 2001)
"Whoa, you can open divx in premiere 6 and it doesn't just crash?"
My first full motion music video was born with Cyber City Oedo 808 and Rage's Renegades of Funk, I think it consisted of maybe a total of 30(?) cuts... (which later would be remade)
Shortly after I grabbed some footage from Escaflowne and finished the Eternal video. (lolol... bad mix of stills and full motion)
Jubei + Rollin' is born. 8)
.ORG appears sometime...
watch mabo's perfect drug-blue video, caldwell's phantom of the opera video... a lot.
Make my most important video to date: Psychological Damage
... that's about it.
