No, seriously, I think the Engel video is just to be funny :P

Asuka is German, and the masculinity of the show. Therefore she gets the male vocals.

Shinji is a little bitch. THerefore he gets the female vocals (For the most aprt anyway).

As for it being done as a Rei video, why would that make any more sense whatsoever? :P

Like I said, only cuz it has to do wit a girl wanting to become an angel. Even though I don' think Rei WANTS to be one, ,she's as close to the song as anyone in the show.

you could try contacting melfina (owner of moobies.net) because the amv is hosted there and he might know something about whoever made this
