Untrue. Many are bootlegs. Even most. But not all...Starwind Amada wrote:DO NOT BUY ANIME FROM EBAY. IT IS ALL BOOTLEGS.

I find the big bold text about not buying bootlegs juxtaposed with the "mod: link to bootlegged goods removed" to be both humorous and satisfying...

Okay, there wasn't a bootleg site there to begin with. I'm smarter than that.Starwind Amada wrote:DO NOT BUY ANIME FROM EBAY. IT IS ALL BOOTLEGS.
Honestly, I don't see how you can even have the need to ask this question. There's a huge multitude of places from which to obtain anime:
Stores
Suncoast
Media Play
Sam Goody
Best Buy
Online
AnimeNation http://www.animenation.net
Anime Corner http://www.animecorner.com
Buy.com http://www.buy.com
Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com
Digital Eyes http://www.digitaleyes.net
Right Stuf http://www.rightstuf.com
[MOD99: Link removed. Please refrain from linking to sites that carry bootleg merchandise]
AND MANY, MANY MORE

Best Prices: Great prices with a large inventory. Shipping is pretty standard.
Deep Discount DVD: Awesome prices on almost all their merchandise. Free shipping, which is a huge plus. However, their inventory isn't as large as others around.

Most of the anime I've purchased in the last year was off ebay...all commercial, legitamate copies. There's great deals on there, but the big downfall is you have to actually take the time to check and see if what you're looking at is the real thing or not...personally, I've never found that to be a problem but I know it has been for many.
Other than that I reccommend Amazon.com and Rightstuf.com.
