1and1 was a pain in the ass to cancel, at least for me at the time. You have to send a paper confirmation via snail mail or fax w/signature within 9 or 7 days of asking to cancel. Since I wasn't expecting that at first and didn't have a printer at the time I was a bit pissed off by that. Then again I'm not sure how common that is with hosting companies.
