I'm usually generous in my opinions, fairly average with the star scores, and harsh with banners. I tend to give high opinion scores because I mostly opinionate videos I enjoy and find to be well-edited. Stars are about an even mix, since I download videos ranging from the Top 10% to random videos found by Super Search. And as for banners, I've just grown tired of the "pretty girl + trite slogan" formula (Hey ! She has wings and the banner says "Fly"! ). Hmm...well, I think it depends on the situation for me...
Banners would have to get an N/A from me, because my browser crashes the window everytime I try to look and I'm really not that interested in them to figure out the anomaly. So, I don't do banner voting. I guess if I made them I might care more.
As for opinions...my scores tend to be high, but I write a lot of comments as well (all in General, because I hate separating "good" from "bad" - the lines aren't always that clear). So, the numbers may seem a bit inflated; however, as far as I'm concerned, it's the comments that count.

1: subtitles, a logo, zero sync, and no relation whatsoever between the song and the anime
2: subtitles, logo, a little bit of sync, and some correlation between the song and the anime
3: logo, decent sync, clear relationship between song and anime
4: great sync, awesome relationship between song and anime
5: kickass sync and an uncannily amazing relationship between song and anime. Also, MEPs and extremely long (but extremely well done) solo projects nearly always get fives.
By those standards, it's probably pretty easy to tell why I don't give out many ones or fives.

For banners I have a simple rule, if I saw this banner on another site and there's even a remote chance it'd make me click on it I vote it worthy. Otherwise I hope it the turd goes down in flames. As far as I can recall the last time I voted a banner worthy would have been spring sometime. Of course, the last time I saw a banner was summer sometime. Thank god for adblock, it's made voting down banners so much easier.
As far as star ratings:
5 - I want to bear your children. Even though I'm male, I still want to try
4 - Worth keeping but isn't one of the greatest amvs ever
3 - I actually watched the entire video and don't wish to hurt you for it
2 - Either I watched the entire video and do wish to hurt you for it OR the thing sucked so badly I deleted it after watching 10 to 20 seconds of it
1 - My happy thought of the day involves the creator, fishhooks, razor blades, rubbing alcohol, gasoline, a lighter, and 20 pounds of fresh human shit.
Most videos get 2 or 3, it's rather rare I use the others.

Im not sure what my avarage is (dont really care to check), but lately with the addition of QCs I have been more honest o.0 in the past alot of the time I would give 4s to even out the 1s I suppose... or something..

though I know alot of mine havent been very original lately o.0 I've gotten tired of 89s and 90s banners... so I "sold out" to the soulful/floating banners once in a while...
though ones that say "give them something to think about" should be taken really bitterly and sarcastically o.0 (hence the font I used) its probably only funny to me o.0...
but for the most part I like finding banners that look good, are well made and dont have generic girls on there with generic sayings... (unless they are my generic crap lol)
