that is so sad ....they should just tranfer then show to another network, maybe a big one and make amvs main stream :O. Or not, but i didn't even know there was a show for amvers to watch, but i live all the way out here and a 56k so there's no way i could see it anyways. It'd be nice to watch though ... *dreams of a better world*

Sadly no, mostly because the drive was nearly maxed out of space (about 200 GB) it would take nearly 50 dvd's to back up the entire drive XD, but there were some small projects saved, however its not enough to compleate anything.Vlad G Pohnert wrote:There was no backup of the data?

I see.. Well, if you do recover the Data, I would suggest buying another equally sized drive (drives are cheap) and backing up everything to it as well as you work on things (I do that all the time)...UltraSonic wrote:Sadly no, mostly because the drive was nearly maxed out of space (about 200 GB) it would take nearly 50 dvd's to back up the entire drive XD, but there were some small projects saved, however its not enough to compleate anything.Vlad G Pohnert wrote:There was no backup of the data?

Some Good News!
Quote from the City of San Antonio
“Dated July 7, 2006
Dear Public Access Producer:
The City of San Antonio would like to inform you that it has reached an agreement with Time Warner Cable (TWC) regarding the terms under which TWC will return public access programming to its cable system. Effective today, the Public Access Channel is available on TWC digital Channel 20. In order to access the Public Access Channel, viewers must subscribe to one of TWC’s digital service packages. As part of the agreement with the City, TWC is introducing a promotional package for $14.95 a month.
The City has maintained since January 2006 that the Public Access Channel should be returned to the community and we have worked diligently to resolve this matter. The City purchased and installed video equipment in March of 2006, and has continued to collect Public Access programming for several months, as well as hired a full-time Television Programming Coordinator, in order to take over the operation of Channel 20.
Pre-produced programs may be delivered to Frank Burns, Television Programming Coordinator, located at the Municipal Plaza Building (114 W. Commerce) on the 4th Floor, between the hours of 9 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact me at (210) 207-7234.
Best regards,
Di Galvan
Director of Communications and Public Affairs
City of San Antonio”

Believe it or not, there are no advertisements on the channel, and we only take donations to help finance the show, which help out for tapes, equipment, and sponsorships for conventions.giga_d wrote:are u allowed to make money off amv's? I assume they run adverts on that channel and make money that way.
