In that case, you definitely need to take the innitiative. Think of it as applying for a job - you find the employer and submit your resume. Look at some videos/editors you like and see if they're members of a studio group. Then contact them to see if they're 'hiring', and if they are, offer links to the vids you think best represent your potential (or talent, if you're already good).

I don't think any of the big-name (laugh) studios here randomly contact new editors with invitations. They generally invite friends they've met in real life or talked to and 'seen' in the forum. Scouters are very rare, and even they only look for new editors who make a public splash somewhere.

On the other hand, you can scroll back a few pages in the General AMV section and you'll find a few dozen threads with people wanting members to join their studios. Just keep in mind that most of them are looking for stooges who'll do all the work so they can get the credit on their websites and such. That, or they're new editors who figure it's easier to gather other new people than it is to apply and join a preset group.

I notice you're a dbz-main amv maker - there was an invitation not too long ago from a website owner who wanted someone to join his 'studio' and make all the vids for his dbz site. It should still be in this section if you flip back a few pages.

ya usally a studio consits of friends, I find it rare to see a group of people in a studio that arnt friends
