Everything that's not on television.

Put it this way, I wouldn't go out and buy it, unless I knew a bit about the anime. And AMVs are great previews. I can normally get a good idea about it, and make my decision based on them. Though I still haven't seen too much, my hopes are high for the future. :D

Off hand I know of only three AMV's that inspired me to see the anime that went with it, the first introducing me to anime as a whole. Although I can't remember the names to them I still recall the first one, which was done with Evangellion and the song "The final Countdown" from the band England (Thanks Rozard on recalling the bands name :P ). That one pretty much started my interest in anime and AMV's as a whole.
As for the other two I can't remember the songs they were done to or the name of the AMV's themselves (I saw them both at AnimeCentral 2002) but one featured Hellsing and the other Read or die. I think thats it.

Hey, that was one of the first AMV's i ever downloaded. It was good, though does anyone know any Eva music vids that are actually really good. I've only seen a few out there, and there isn't anything oustanding.

Actually, i've only downloaded AMV's from series that i'v already seen but, there was a Dragonball z one with 'kryptonite' by Three Doors Down, that actually got me into AMV's in the first place. It was also either part of an AMV or just a Cartoon Network promo, but it had clips of Gundam Wing with Linkin Park's 'Crawling in my skin' which got me into AMV's and back into Gundam wing.

After seeing Fluxmeister's "Endure" Video with Path by Apocalyptica, I knew I had to get Now and Then, Here and There. And now that I own it, I completely love it ^_^
And his "Souls of Rage and Sorrow" made me bye Escaflowne the movie...

damnit ya made me go look for it in my pile .. found it

Maboroshi Studios
Song: Empire of the Sun
Anime : Grave of the Fireflies

awesome video, great anime .. the perfect example that you do not need alot of fancy effects , as long as you get a song that fits the anime so well .

1st was Turboneko's Reverse Madness (X), that was last year, I think. And then in early this year I saw Jbone's Renegade Megadeus (Big-O)

Indeed we do...

Your ninja panda is no match for my hordes of anime lacking in sanity *throws Excel and several Azumanga charecters at the pands*.
