Do you ever go back and redo your AMVs?

I most likely wont remake my first video. I plan on remaking 3 of my videos now that I have DVD footage. Though it is more to re-master the original rather then remake it. Though I know in the process I'll wind up changing some things.

I've done it once with my Lain video long ago. The video was the third AMV I ever made but I felt that it was unsatisfactory due to poor visual quality (the system I made it on was really bad and is the reason some of my early works have such poor video quality) and I just felt I could make it better. So once I geto a better setup for my computer I went back and redid it. None of my other works though I have felt so unsatisfactory with that I felt I should redo them. The remaining videos that also suffer from poor video quality for the same reason I don't think are good enough on their own merrits to spend the time redoing.

the videos not pefect but i dont want to make a newer version of it. When i see the old videos I see what was years ago and what is now. I want to see the evolution of my videos...

I've only redone two of mine.

The first, because someone needed a better encode, and all I had left was the low quality wmv.

The second, I just finished and posted. I just took the idea further, since I have learned how to rip DVDs properly and clean footage since then. Only a couple of scenes are in the same place, and I like the new version better.

I have no desire to redo my first vid: DBZ + JXL/Elvis.

Yeah. Exactly.

I think if you have learned a lot and still like the combination, redo it. If nothing else you can see how far you have come in your hobby/obsession.

Original: 10/20/05
Re-do: 10/25/05 (Yes, five days apart.)

The original was WMV, and it froze up like crazy. I downloaded a trial version of Vegas just so I could make a better version. The rest, as they say, was history (although I settled on using Premiere instead of Vegas.)

I am about 90% finished with a remaster of my airbats vides, and am remaking entirely my Macross vid. I have plans to remaster all of my videos prior to 2005, but not in any particular order.
