Longest time it took to make a AMV?

My current project.

So far: four months. And I'm only 1/2 way done.

Of course, that includes the month of futzing around in PhotoImpact (Ulead's cheap knock-off of photoshop), and -learning- how to use that, so I can master *coughcoughyeahright* the art of frame-by-frame editing and SFX.

Oh... and I also happen to be unemployed at the moment, so I have A LOT of time to work on it. I'm not even going to calculate the hours.

DriftRoot has been working on her vids for something like 4 or 5 years. I hear she's got a deal to have them bundled with Duke Nukem Forever.

Personally, my longest project has been about 4-5 months.

shortest one was about 15 minutes...

longest one... about 3 and a half maby 4 years.. then again i still have betas i plan on finishing from 2003... and i make an edit to some of them every now and then...

If you are looking for from the time concept was born till it premiered, then I'd say a year, otherwise if editing alone, 6 months.

I spent just about 320 hours preprocessing to filtering to editing to exporting on the project i just finished. That's hours of documented work mind you., not total time from start to finish - the time from start to finish was 6 months.

15 hours of editing in a span of 3 months.
