There is nothing more flattering for an AMV maker than someone who told him that his video made the latter buy the music/series.

As a matter of fact, it proves that he did a great job.

in fact, i think all the animes i Bought in quite a while were due to AMVs or for AMVs

Typically no, I buy too much anime as is and I a;most never buy CDs unless I am going to make an AMV or its a soundtrack.

Giant robo was one show I remember looking into because of an AMV though. That was after seing Hsein's video years ago at Anime Expo
