Re: Has the org changed you?
The only thing being on the org has really changed about me is my main hobby
Before i came here, my hobby was making MIDI's and stuff. Since I joined here in 2003, I pretty much dropped my other hobby and put most of my free time to making music videos.

My thoughts exactly.Tsunami Jones wrote:I have to say yes. While I don't know if I can say it's directly *changed* me, but because of this site I have met so many wonderful people and made some great friends that it's definitely improved my life.

I wouldn't say the org has changed me much. I was pretty much a lazy prick before and I'm still a lazy prick. OTOH the org has definately changed how I view fandom, amateur artistic creations, and online communities in general. Mostly for the worse.

I was an asshole before I came here.
Honestly... the org really didn't change me alot besides having an output to be more creative in everyday life. But noone I know now, knows I did anything here.
I really want to get back to making videos but debt has made it harder.
I still wouldnt tell anyone I make amvs. I'm a hypo

Worse. It's made me so lazy. Over the past few years, I'd spend so much time sitting here waiting for myself to make an AMV, but 99.99% of the time it never happens. So much time I could be doing something else, something actually important, but I keep pushing myself thinking it's gonna happen, but it rarely ever does.
As far as becoming an asshole or not. I'm still the same.
.not an asshole.
Yep.

Re: Has the org changed you?
I'd say that this hobby has taught me to be more direct when actually giving feedback and to nit pick more even if I don't express it... it's taught me to pay attention to detail even if I choose to ignore those details. Also, that I've learned a whole lot about stuff that I didn't really think about before.
More recently I think I've been a little more bitter but I wouldn't say its directly to do with the org, but more so my life in general...
