Thank you all for your suggestions. As for things like gunslinger girls and Hänsel and Gretel (haven't watched BL season 2 yet so I'm not sure) those strike me as a little too professional. The look I'm going for is that of a normal kid who's just completely snapped.

Can anyone comment on Chaos;Head? I've been meaning to check that out anyway.

Now that I think about it, Elfin lied's probably worth checking out.
