I didn't mean that amvs were just invented. I meant that they have just become so popular. To whoever "doesn't like" me, I think that's a kind of premature decision to make since you don't even know me. And yeah I was too harsh. Sorry. I hadn't slept in like two days and was extremely frustrated with this community. I just recently decided to start participating in the forums and instead of finding people having fun and making jokes I find arguments and people who can't take jokes. I still think it's stupid to try to argue that the majority of the amv making world doesn't suck.

Was one of those videos mine?Machine wrote:When MJ, Adiamante, and I were at Akon and watching the Music Videos for the contest, there were maybe only 5 videos out of the whole 40 enteries that actually caught my eye and I coudl say that those people put effort into what they were doing and got a message across.

People argue when they do not fully understand.
And although a-m-v.org has it's fair share of arguments it also has a lot of fun times.
a-m-v.org has to be one of the most talked about places on the net. I even slide into small angelfire forums sometimes and hear all this jabber about artists like EK or Carlos. And yes even you MJ ^_^.
I think that a-m-v.org has really made a positive effect on the Anime community in general and although we do have fights and some upsets (like EK and Kevin) but we still hold are on as one of the nets most positive Anime stations.

I actually met one person who thinks that those who makes AMV's are only makin' them because they completely have a distain and a hate for anime in general, and want to express it to all by "defacing and degrading" anime.
I left him on his ass after one hit.

In words I hear you still whispering/Your face is so unclear
Hey guys, I've just gotten back from a Youth Conference to come and find v2 of the site is up, and now apparently that some respected creators are saying 'adieu' to the community.
I just want to say that though I may not have talked to most of the creators who are leaving that they have nonetheless made an impact. It's almost impossible to be a real member here and not hear of Hsien, or EK, or Joe, and the great videos that they've made. To me it's an inspiration to simply try and be the best creator I can, because if you try and please everyone, chances are you'll please no one. I'm sure none of them started making AMVs saying, "Everyone will bow down at the sound of my name one day! *evil laughter*" In fact, I'm more than certain they didn't start with that intention, so why should I? I have a vision to get across, and making AMVs is a learning experience. If people like my vision: more power to me. If they don't: So be it, I accomplished my goal.
EK-Sorry to see you go, I didn't know you very well but you could sure as hell make me laugh. (I coincedentally claim the Dancing Dino pic for use in the forums in EK's absence)
Now with that out of the way...
I have to agree with whoever said (no, I'm not going to go back and look, I'm tired enough already) that a new era is starting at AnimeMusicVideos.org. There is a new era starting, in fact, I think I've seen the rotation coming for a while now. New creators are starting to come forward (myself included), and take it or leave it, some of us are going to replace the 'legends' (for lack of a better word) everyone talks about. That's just the way it is. Things change, or they become stagnant. Change is neccesary, and although it may not always be easy, in the end it's good for AMVs.
It had better be good for it, because things are going to change regardless.

I got to page 6 and gave up. I don't know where this topic is now (I know topics tend to move around) but ummm... yeah. Bye EK, I liked reading your journal even if I never got home intime to get the damn mp3's. Meroboshi (I can't spell your, or anyone's name) please do keep puting your videos into the arcive even if you don't read the reviews. This arcive makes like much easyer for us fans. (well I made a few crap videos, but still)
...hmm, I better be careful, I've gotten aticted to forums with post counts before. (rembers when he was at a fourm where people have over 10,000 post, in like 6 months.)
...>_< so much time taken up. >_<
Oh, and jen was right, there are so many of these http://www.winternet.com/~mikelr/flame20.html here it's not even funny. But that's mostly the "commen's man's (and womens)" fault. ^_^

Damn no edit button.
Ever notese when things start to go main streem (even a little) it tends to freak people out? I think i see that with anime as a whole. As more people get into cause of the new shows on tv, people start to hate the tv shows and sometimes the whole series they play on tv. I wonder who all would have liked to see fansubs of pokemon if it had not gone on wb, or the people who would have liked dragonball z before it went on cartoon network.
Course I have no room to talk, I got into anime in the first place cause of dragonball z on cartoon network, and now I don't like dragonball z so much. But I don't think it's evil. I don't know, this just kind of reminds me of that.
...I want you all to know that making fun of my spelling is like making fun of a devlmently disabled person. ^_^ (course that's not an exuse, cause I'm too lazy to use spell check) ^_^

Read a book!
I must say... I've been everything here from a helpful, friendly person to a mindless, driveling troll, depending on my mood... but there's one thing I'll say for certain: Too many of you people take things here way too seriously.
(Get ready for a semi-obscure reference...)
To quote Handy:
READ A BOOK!
Seriously, many people here need to go out and do things other than write messages on the board and edit videos and watch videos and watch anime... I know what some of the people who've seen me posting for the past few months are thinking, "But, jBone, you post here constantly!" Yes, but that's only 'cause I have way too much time on my hands.
And no matter how much I post here, I never take anytihng posted on here too seriously.
Some people act as though their entire social life revolves around e-contact with people they may never meet. To you I say: READ A BOOK!
Some people take everything on this message board so fsking seriously that I have to wonder if they even know there's a world outside their own homes. To these people, I say: READ A BOOK!
I read the first couple of pages here...I skimmed through most of the rest... and the sheer, needless inanity of so much of this thread's discussion has prompted me to add needlessly to the inanity.
Oh, and one last thing:
ErMaC, what are you thinking? Imagine you saying you like talking to me! For goodness' sake, next you'll be watching my videos...
