C'mon, we all know what the real reason is. Women are paid less than men and are therefore poorer than men are, so we can't afford the awesome programs that allow for the more advanced editing. We have to pirate our software.

Actually, it seems that majority of the girls on this site fall into the younger age group (correct me if I'm wrong) which factors into the whole 'not being able to afford cooler stuff'.

A lot of the time girls DON'T make the best AMVs. I'm looking at you, InuYasha fangirls. When you put a bunch of random, unsynched footage of InuYasha and Kagome together that has subtitles, and then other fangirls give it all 10's because "OHHH INUYASHA AND KAGOME KAWAIIII", it gets pretty annoying.

The topic intrigued me, so I just spent 30 minutes reading over all this rambling (god help me) and I must say I'm shocked that the AMV community is, well, like this. I never really thought it was. Hmm. I'm just disappointed now with so many people. Soo many...bah.
