youtube not for AMVs

rofl, believe it or not, though I bash utube, i love that place and it's my second favorite place on the web. it just sucks for amvs in comparison to this place, and star ratings and view counts seem unbelievably irrelevant there.

why is this place making people ashamed? we just think amvs shouldn't be associated/involved at all with that place.

Heck, I like the toob as well, but I mostly reserve it for finding videos of random explosions and crashes. That's a hobby in itself

I also like hosatchel for its potential to track down, say, actual band music videos which aren't normally downloadable - but I hear they're getting sued for that now

wow from hate to love for the tube i have to say though on the tube I did find a song that I was always looking for in the video game, Driver commericial add and I was so happy to find a song I was always looking for when I was first playing the game.

Eh... In my case, it's because I know the quality sucks.

Then again, so does the quality of some of my AMVs, so I guess no one notices there ^^;;

I think the tube is just making people worse really...because software's getting easier to use now, and with utube making it incredibly easy to post their work, theres a lot of people actually making AMV's now. The problem is the mindless compliments people get on there like "Great video" when it sucks...its not constructive what-so-ever. On the ORG you really feel like you're moving forward with your editing, but on utube it seems like you really don't have to get any better, because people will compliment you all the same.

haha ive noticed alot of "how to" guides on the tube (how to make an amv)...

most of them mimick that "how to wiki" post O.o (which still shows you how to rip off of the tube anyone remember that?)

I -still- get comments on how great one of my earliest AMVs was... and now that I know more, I can see -SO- many things wrong with it. I can't even watch it now without cringing.

If you want the best versions of vids, [especially my supreme vids :p], then don't go to the tube...

I for one curse the fool who thinks they can put my vids on the tube... :p

I say, for the best and the 'worthy', stay here at the org...

Do you think I am above those who are too poor or impatient to download shitty versions of amvs?
