Honestly, everything that is being discussed here is a personal thing. It depends on what editor wants to do and what to get from it. It's only their choice where they want to stay, where to be active and there's nothing wrong about choosing one thing above another. If someone is arrogant then it's not about the community but one's personality.

It's really our own choice what and how we want to do it. Whether someone wants to get some pleasure from editing or just keep the audience enjoying their work or have satisfacion from improving, it's editor's personal thing.

Everyone's free to have their own point of view along with respect for other people and their choices, that makes peace.
