There's an LJ community called "Vidding," I believe. And there's also always youtube.
Should it REALLY matter whether the source is anime or live action? And for god's sake, no one bring up the argument that it's ANIME music videos .org and not live-action music videos .org. That's a ridiculous argument.
Yes. The site's specific purpose is cataloging ANIME music videos. Live action videos don't fall under that banner no matter how much people would like them to. Which makes the argument of the site's name not ridiculous, but entirely valid.

How is that a ridiculous argument? o_O

"It's simply ludicrous that they don't sell Cheeseburgers here :O And don't bring up the argument that this place is TACO Bell and not BURGER Bell! That's a ridiculous argument."

It's like because this place became such a convenient, popular, and well-run site dedicated to AMVs, it suddenly has an obligation to cater to everything outside of it's original scope.

Nobody is stopping anybody from making liveactionmusicvideos.org.

And I'd frequent it. I like live-action music videos. However I don't find the logic in thinking that they should OBVIOUSLY be added to and encouraged on a site dedicated to anime music videos.

I agree. This is ANIMEmusicvideos.org I was just saying that if someone made that site, I'd so join it :3

And since I end up pimping it all the time: here is the link to Vidding. It's good stuff and lots of live action vidders there...
:3 (Disney is allowed there too XD yay)

Also there are several "smaller" communities on livejournal dedicated to Fandom Specific vids... I'm on at least 2 Harry Potter communities, and I know that theres more out there... I believe Vidding has a list in their user info of various vidding communities that are fandom specific.

Ya know, there's no need to make a video entry in order to pimp a non-anime video. There's absolutely nothing wrong with mentioning the live action vids you've done in your profile text or sig.

I think it would be more like going to Taco Bell and not being able to get a burrito. People who like one will probably like the other. Hence why I think it would be in the general interest of the community to introduce LAMVs into the catalogues. It's nothing more than evolution.

Besides, it's not as if I'm asking to host it locally or anything. I have my own hosting, I just want a place where I can give my work to people who will appreciate it.

Probably get shut down real quick... Unlike the companies for anime, the big studios don't turn a blind eye.... Fox use to shut down fan sites that have images without permission from thier showns!

Hence Live action MVs = underground

That's a pretty valid point. I hadn't really considered it, but you're right. Production companies are assholes.

to add LAMVs to AMVs.org's catalog would just be ludicrous. But the topic here is not LAMVs period, it's LAMVs that AMV makers had made.

now to add LAMVs that AMV makers had made to the catalog, imo, would be a step to far as well. But that's just my opinion.
