Can't believe I typo in the title heading. So back on the subject of getting new members to join. Submit your videos and we'll take a look at them. Think of this as an audition.

Is trolling the trend here or am I missing something?

This place use to be amazing! I'm trying to find some members here that would like to join and be apart of the studio. Again like in my earlier post we are looking for editors that have potential or even experienced editors. If you have some amv's to send us well take a look at them and let you know after also asking you some questions about amv's. I don't know what happened to this place, but its not like it was 8 or 9 years ago. sigh...

Well I'm quite often being a troll myself but not to this extent as sometimes you'll get trouble (warned/banned/etc) and it's not even funny (for me at least).

Anyway, since I'm new to this stuff, what's the purpose of being in studio? Since I don't know except hanging out together or something if its member on based area.

We also will be working on multi-editor projects.
Hold online AMV Contests / Tournaments.
Chat about ideas and help brainstorm on AMV's.

So a studio can help out members quiet a bit.

....none of those are exclusive to being a studio, haha.

But for realsies, you're not likely to get many good candidates by just throwing out a fishing line and hoping people will bite. What's the motivation for wanting to join your studio when all of the above can be accomplished elsewhere without needing to "audition" well enough to suit your tastes?

If you really want more studio mates, my advice is don't just toss out an open-call for anyone, instead invite friends or editors that you've known. You said before that you're trying to help out more editors via opinions/AMV announcements, why not cultivate friendships and invite those people who seem interested? I'd think people would be more inclined to join a studio because of that than just a random "send us a video and we'll decide if you're good enough to join us".

Ileia summed it up pretty nicely. Studios formed by auditions tend to fall apart after a while. But studios formed between people that are already friends tend to stay together even when some of their members become inactive.

Lyk er mah gawdddddddddd, I know rightttttt dudeeeeeeee? So silly doeeeeeee.

I agree that studios where the members are already mostly friendly with each other tend to be more "successful", but it isn't impossible for studios with auditions to be so as well.
