Personally, I think there are just as many good videos as always. No pun intended, trythil... as your "Always" would be one I would add to the list of good newer videos that have come out. Dwchang's "Evolution" would be another I'd add to the list. Zarxrax's "Doujin Addiction" and dokool's new vid (which he plugged a bit himself...) as well. Though admittedly, other than the people I know, I don't always know if a video is 'new' or not... but I know those are.

As for why the more 'senior' members don't have anything new and flashy out- I think Jeb probably hit it closest to the mark: Over the next 2 or 3 months will be at least two of the larger (if not largest) competitions: AX and Otakon. I'd not be at all surprised if a number of the 'senior' editors you're talking about have entries for the cons and are waiting to release them until after the conventions.

What are you talking about? That vid's the epitome of a newbie creator making an amv with overused clips from overused animes with cheesy effects.

Man, I wish I wasn't stuck with lousy dial-up, I'd be downloading a bunch myself. As it is, I just found this site, and I'm gonna have to pull some favors from the IT guys at work so that I don't get reamed for using the pitiful ISDN in my office to download stuff to bring home and watch

I'm a noob, and I posted my first AMV on this site (actually at another site before this). It's the only one I feel comfortable displaying to the public. If you're a fan of the Macross series, check it out. If you hate Steve Winwood, don't. :)

I'm hoping I get to see at least a tiny fraction of the vids all you people have made in the coming weeks. I actually look forward to work, now . . . .

I've been lurking in the depths of the unknown, getting panicky about upcoming exams and working on my still-untitled AMV during my spare time. 8)

Oh yeah, and if anyone here hasn't seen Omnistrata's "Blue Sky Brings Tears" video, download now!

I was meaning my AMVs.. I have four of them that I want to put up and I was sort of in a hurry to type my last post. I can't seem to get them up. I get to where you have the permission and the username&password, but I don't know what to do next! I'm a fast lwarner if someone would quickly help.

You need an FTP program to upload the video. I recommend SmartFTP or LeechFTP. Both are user-friendly, reliable, and above all, free.
