My family in general thinks that music, anime and my $2000 computer that I just bought is a big waste of time and money. I believe that as long as my grades are still A's, I have freedom to do what I want.

im a single child. my perants dont know i make amv's. actualy they dont even know i watch anime (they dont know what it is probably) and more than anything they dont know that ive got $910 of anime dvd's in my room (their money). my freinds, they dont realy care (offlinefreinds that is) eccept for one who's into video encoding/decoding and all that, but hasnt realy doen much in the way of amv's (besides two small chrono vids)

My parents didn't know untill I went to Animazement last year and I told them I won something. Actually I can't really say I even wan't them to care... my grandmother was really adamant about wanting to see the video that I won something with (doujin addiction)... I just showed her my smooth criminal video instead ;p

Well, iroincally My family loves my AMVs. My Dad is an anime fan himself and pretty much knows the anime I use to make my AMVs. He's pretty much become the first person to give me feedback when I'm working on a video...

Ironically, My parents tend to show some of my work to thier friends as well... It's great having supportive parents who understand what you are doing for a hobby...

Frankly my mom could care less, though she would support anything I'm greatly interested in, like drawing. Anywho if I'd ever have to explain, i'd just say it's a hobby, we all have them. Hell she road horses in her younger days, and they aint cheap.

kinda pisses me off whenever i atempt to tell my parents about my videos, my dad hates anime (deep dark secret hate towards anime/cartoons with seriousness) and according to him every anime is "DRAAgon BaLL ZZ"

until i actualy talked to a video editor in the family my family was 100% against my future career

I actually feel embarrassed to show my family my videos... I showed them anyway and besides my sister I have no Idea what my mother thinks about me spending so much time on a video that centers around a 14 year old anime character... -_-;;

There is a guy I work with though that saw my videos and he thinks it is cool and he is always asking me to edit a techno/trance video for him. I tell him that I'm only going to do one video 'something' like that and I'm already working on it... my RVG track.

I used to edit with my friend. He ended up almost finishing a video before I moved. I don't know if it is finished now as he recently has been having computer problems.

So... basically the only people I know that create and stuff are people I've met and bacame friends with on this site. Why can't you guys live closer.
