NEWS BREAK: Scientists discover that the existed prehistoric AMV's before the release of Hybrid Theory. Do you know what this means?!? Obviosly somone must have had illegal copies of the songs before the album was even released, duh.

Umm... nope.

Just like a song can be overplayed on the radio, it can be overused in AMVs. You could make the argument that with AMVs there is the additional conceptual aspect that the anime introduces, but that doesn't make the song any less overplayed.
