Then... you just have split personalities, and are still without a fan.
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

... what makes a good ... AMV ... that's rather a vague question ....

. ... thinking ...

.. well, if you can watch it and you loose track of time as to how long/short it
was - that's a Great AMV.
"If you can get soo caught-up in the AMV that you loose all sense of Time"
then THAT is what will "make or break" anyones view of your concept.

Sex.

If you want to hump the video after you've seen it, it's good

Wow, how would that even work :P.

Well, you burn the video onto CD, get some vaseline...

That would be Savia, quoting Man Ray. Damn my memory.

Anyway, being your own fan is fun! That way you can admit to being a fanboy without anything strange involved.

Oh then you would love my latest one

I personally think that there are several things that make an AMV good, but the main one is the match between anime and song choice. When you look at my AMVs then you'll see that that is what i aim for everytime. The rest of the video may be bad, but atleast that part is what i got right.

a good a anime is where you can understand the video and relate it to the song. Not just a good song and a bad combination of scenes. And it doesn't matter if the song really sucks what matters is how the fan can relate the scenes to the song and make it make sense....
Anime is a way of entertainment a amvs are just pure fun
