on the anime Case Closed there's an episode where they're looking for a cat and you see al different kinds of cats meowing, bt i don't think it shows any hissing or anything.

Also in the first episode of the Tenchi Muyo OVA's there is a cat.

Has no one remembered Merle, the cat-girl of Escaflowne? If you haven't seen it, you're missing out. Merle's a bit of a side-kick char, but she's a bit of a nag, so she surely hisses and does all kinds of swell cat things. Also, she's sortof a kid, so she doesn't dress like a hoe. Great series!

There's an episode of Steam Detectives where Narutaki is hunting for a lost cat, towards the end, he's chasing the cat through town.

Also, Ranma 1/2: in one episode Ranma becomes cat-like (it's a reaction because he's scared of cats) in his mannerisms, meowing, sitting on Akane's lap, etc. Ranma 1/2 also has Shampoo, who turns into a cat when she's wet.

Dammit, I can't believe I forgot about Kimagure Orange Road! The WHOLE series features a cat and one episode has a hissing cat or cats (iirc, the cat birthday one).

Well, I know that in "All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku" there IS a catgirl cyborg. ^^

And there is Tokyo Mew Mew, of course.

There is a cool demon-cat in gakkou No Kaidan (School Ghost Stories), for example, in the first episode.

Thats all I remember. ^^
