Hard to explain, mostly I think I actually just enjoy the editing process. Sitting there for hours editing clips to music is fun to me. Though I also enjoy getting feedback from people on my own work. It allows me to express how I percieve a series or my feelings in a creative way.
Screw it, this is all a jumble.
It keep sme off drugs, how about that?

It's worth slogging through the more tedious editing to get to that one project that flies by because it just seems the combination works so well. I love those. I want more of those.

I agree as well. A lot of times I'm tempted to just flub the ending because I'm SO CLOSE to having a finished product. Then I do a final run through watch and realize that there are about 4 frames out of whack that I have to fix -_-
All in all though, I like having a final product to watch. That whole "I made that?" feel.

I gotta agree with whats been said already. I think the main reason I why I make AMV's is creative stimulation. With every video I get new ideas and concepts that helps expand my artistic train of thought. I guess I'm just hooked on pushing my creativity to the limits it can go. "The more challenging a vid is to make the more I'll improve" is my basic philosophy behind making vids. And like Wired Knight said, I actually enjoy the editing as much as I do the result because with each video I always suprise myself with what the result of my work comes out as.
