Self enjoyment, like Sarah mentioned..
This is achieved by getting the footage to work/mix well (this includes syncing and concept) with the music .

Impact.

I make AMVs because I like to make AMVs.

I share them here in hopes that they will make an impact.

Either a smile, a laugh, a happy feeling, or perhaps a sad feeling, anger, etc.

Impact is what I am going for.

zooms! Zooms! ZOOOOOMMSSSS!! I litterally watch anime with a pen and paper half the time and take down the episode and time numbers of the anime where they had amazing zoom ins.

Some of my favorite editors that use alot of zooms "Lorna, Yorae, Moon" probably don't use this exact technique to get their zooms but I always get intensified pleasure from watching zooms in their vids that a dozen Euphoria AMV's can never give me.

Sorry about the double post but this too. I always make sure the end of my AMV's are given more effort than the rest. I intentionally start the AMV out with as much effort as possible then take breaks near the end of the vid to come up with the best possible ideas.
