I'd say this is the best because it allows a clear say from both sides. IF you were to mathmatically combine them then you could get into a series of arguments of flaws as to weight that means different results could entirely occur by the meer virtue of hte arbitrary percentages to each side.BasharOfTheAges wrote:The best method for combining the two that i've seen are separate audience and judge awards. You also have to remember that no matter how voting is set up - by audience members, by judges, by both, by a pack of wild hyenas - nothing, absolutely nothing is going to guarantee that your video, personally, is going to win in any configuration.
"Fair" does not mean "my video wins" or "the video that I think should win did win." The only "fair" that applies is for every voter to vote only once and for all votes to be counted. It's a matter of opinion. Lots of people don't fully understand what that means.
